Yet, I still exist. Why?
I cling to life, breathing shallow breaths,
as I cradle my flayed skin.
My seeping blood thirsts for love.
If I could, I would savor even a moment of true joy,
like the innocent laughter I shared with my mother.
In this alienated world, I will swallow the filth.
My breath may fail, but I will revel in the struggle.
I seek something, I yearn for something. That is why I live.
