Behold the frightening power of water

We wear face masks and claim
That the air is somehow becoming less polluted

As part of this society, I am ashamed

Even rats are becoming extinct
Soon, we will be eating our own flesh and blood

The world has lost its sense of morality
That is why we face such a severe crisis today
In this age of darkness, evil prevails
The entire world is in turmoil

We have forgotten our boundaries
We consume everything in our path
When we finally realize our folly
Mothers will weep in agony

This virus is like Thanos
It will claim half the world

We incite riots in the name of religion
And our sins echo through the land
Why does no one dare to speak out
And confront this unbearable pain?

Those who trifle with Mother Nature
Are utterly worthless

Our soldiers, once stationed at our borders
Why are they now patrolling our streets?
Is half the population truly so foolish
That they must be ordered to stay home?

Stay indoors, they say
This pandemic is no laughing matter
Fear not, they say
But will you heed their advice?
Only when disaster strikes will you understand

The sheer lack of compassion is appalling, my love
I have witnessed it firsthand
Shopkeepers are selling items for twice their worth
taking advantage of the situation

Have a little shame, I implore you
Do not stoop so low
Money cannot prevent death
Change your ways while you still have the chance

I am eternally grateful to those
Who prioritize the well-being of our nation
Many have donated generously
Alleviating the hunger of the poor

I salute the police force
For maintaining law and order
Arrest those who flout the rules
But show mercy to those who are truly helpless

Wear your mask and sanitize your hands
Maintain a distance of two meters
We will comply with the lockdown
And discuss these matters further once it is lifted

We have inflicted this illness upon the Earth
It is our responsibility to heal her
Victory is within our grasp
Together, we will cripple this virus
