Y hasta los gringos va vienen al valle,
A presenciar las fiestas de acordeones
Cuando estuvo en ese ministerio,
La cultura de los pueblos encontró una mano amiga y con Orgullo
Doña consuelo le sirvió al país entero de Leticia a la Guajira.
Allá en la capital se quedaba soñando,
Con este lindo valle que lleva en el alma,
Las parrandas Alegres bajo el palo e mango.
Los versos parranderos de cuatro palabras y a veces veía en
Sueños la plaza colmada, de gente entusiasmada oyendo un acordeón
Despierta sollozando porque su alma provinciana no la deja olvidar su
Tierra y diariamente Llama a preguntar lo que ha pasado aquí por la
Región en el pasado festival yo la vi Engalanada,
Con su traje de pilonera y sus
Trinitarias al pie de la primera dama bailando pilón.
Yo hasta pedí el favor,
Que el día del homenaje me dejaran cantarle esta canción sentida que
Al pie de su escultura toquen dos juglares Emiliano y Morales sus
Canciones lindas y a sus Hijos también le gustara el detalle cuando
Algún periodista por la radio digo;

También doña Consuelo es la novia del valle
