Manchmal hänge ich meinen Gedanken nach
Sie fliegen einfach so im Kopf herum
Manchmal halten sie mich ganze Nächte wach
Und manchmal sind sie einfach nur dumm

Sie kommen manchmal leicht und scheinbar mühelos
Und dann wieder traurig und schwer
Manchmal sind sie schnell verweht
Kommen hie und da zu spät
Und manchmal wird aus ihnen ein Lied

Manchmal denkt immer nur im Kreis herum
Und sucht nach einer zündenden Idee
Oft geh'n die Gedanken ziemlich düster um
Dann wieder rein wie unberührter Schnee

Gedanken hütet man oft wie sein Eigentum
Doch größer werden sie, wenn man sie teilt
Gedanken bleiben nie sehr lang
Sehr bald kommt schon der nächste an
Den halt ich fest und schreib dir dieses Lied
