Contratan dos pistoleros que de Acapulco vinieron
A darle muerte a Macario, el de rancho ganadero

The Ballad of Macario Leyva

They hired two gunmen who came from Acapulco
To kill Macario, the rancher
When they arrived at the ranch, since they didn't know him
The lady said, "We are agents, police agents."
The lady replied, "My husband just left."

When they went inside, they took off their hats
Showing the lady that they were gentlemen.
When they saw him coming, they smiled at each other
