Nun ist mittlerweile aus dem Apfelbäumchen, dass ich da gepflantzt habe
Ein schönes großes, kleines Mädchen geworden
Und ich merke, dass ich das wachstum meiner Kinder
Nicht so ganz ohne Wehmut betrachten kann
Selbst wenn ich natürlich weiß, dass die kinder uns nicht gehören
Dass man sie gehen lassen muss, dass sie jeden Tag selbstständiger weden
Dass sie uns immer weniger brauchen
