From Student to Master

I tossed my backpack and bag over my shoulder and was already annoyed
School wasn't attractive, my life was as simple as that of any other citizen
But my brain wanted something more, it felt a yearning, I had to do something
He who doesn't risk never wins, I didn't hold back and got into smuggling
I traded books for notebooks, but not the ones with lines, that's where the crooked stuff went
While my mom scolded me if I skipped school and the boss would get mad
I lacked the adrenaline that would change my life, I wanted to make things happen

Then things started working out, the clients clamored, business was good

I became number one, on the border, I dealt the cards
From books to notebooks, I went from student to master
But that's not where it ended, things became dangerous and a little violent
Serious problems arose, I had my people but I wasn't one for war
They put a price on my head, called me a traitor, I had to defend myself
I got into more serious problems and called my people, telling them we were at war
Quickly I bought my armored cars, guns, grenade launchers, the whole package
I drew my line of fire with fire, this is my territory, be warned
But they looked at me with calmness, thought it was a game, and tried to attack me
They refused to listen and I had to retaliate with bullets
But things escalated, the war intensified, it was uneven
It wasn't just hitmen anymore, even the soldiers wanted my skin
