From the walls of that room, silence never played,
Only distorted piano notes, trapped between lime and cement.
And as much as each sound surfaced,
It escaped from the fingers like the flight of a butterfly.
In summer, drowsy afternoons and withered flowers,
Only a madman would read stories in his scores.
They were piles of clouds and chords like faded blooms,
Just memories almost vanished.

He met her when it was autumn, the leaves already red,
