Okay, so this is a record
It's gonna be live

So basically the premise of this record we're doing
Most of it is you know coming from my black radio records
I don't know how many of you have my black radio album
Thank you guys so much

So winning an R&B album of the year Grammy
Is the thank you so much
You guys are amazing
Um, so coming off that
I wanted too, I felt like doing a trio record now
And but I wanted to do anyone that you know
Go straight jazz, you know off top boom out of nowhere

So I wanted to do a nice happy medium
And do songs that I like basically from my iPod you know
So these are different songs, from different genres, different artists
Uh, songs that I just like you know to listen to

So we're gonna play some of those
Mix it with some stuff that I
You know trio stuff that we played back in the day but never record it
Um, these guys playing with me are my original trio albums
When I first got signed in the blue note, I did two records straight up trio canvas and in my element
And these are my original guys
And that's Vicente Archer on the base
Um, on the drums is Mr Damian Reed

Okay, also das hier ist eine Aufnahme.
Sie wird live sein.
Ihr könnt euch also so verhalten, als wärt ihr im Club.
Und wenn euch etwas gefällt, könnt ihr "ooh" machen.
Wenn euch etwas nicht gefällt, könnt ihr "ooh" machen.

Also im Grunde ist die Prämisse dieser Platte, die wir gerade machen,
dass das meiste davon, wisst ihr, von meinen Black Radio Platten stammt.
Ich weiß nicht, wie viele von euch mein Black Radio Album haben.
Vielen Dank euch allen.

Also, einen Grammy für das R&B-Album des Jahres zu gewinnen...

Ihr seid unglaublich.
Ähm, also darauf aufbauend,
wollte ich auch, ich hatte Lust, jetzt eine Trio-Platte zu machen.
Aber ich wollte nicht, wisst ihr,
direkt Jazz machen, wisst ihr, zack, aus dem Nichts.

Also wollte ich einen schönen Mittelweg finden
und Songs spielen, die ich mag, im Grunde von meinem iPod, wisst ihr.
Das sind also verschiedene Songs, aus verschiedenen Genres, von verschiedenen Künstlern.
Äh, Songs, die ich einfach gerne höre, wisst ihr.

Also werden wir einige davon spielen.
Gemischt mit einigen Sachen, die ich...
Wisst ihr, Trio-Sachen, die wir früher gespielt, aber nie aufgenommen haben.
Ähm, die Jungs, die mit mir spielen, sind mein ursprüngliches Trio.
Als ich zuerst bei Blue Note unter Vertrag kam, habe ich zwei reine Trio-Platten gemacht, Canvas und In My Element.
Und das hier sind meine ursprünglichen Jungs.
Und das ist Vicente Archer am Bass.
