Heimlich hatte ich den Tisch gedeckt
Und dann die beiden liebevoll geweckt:
"Der Sonntag ist da!"
Neulich kam ich von der Reise nach Haus,
Meine Frau sah schon mal glücklicher aus.
Ich fragte: "Liebling, ist hier irgendwas los?"
Sie sagte: "Nein, die Kinder schaffen mich bloß."
Dann beschlossen wir mal wieder:
Morgen sprechen wir mit ihnen drüber.

Und der nächste Morgen kam,
Und was gab es?

I used to do some stupid things,
