Shiva Shlokas (Naagendra Haaraaya, Shivam Shivakaram)
Shiva Shlokas (Naagendra Haaraaya, Shivam Shivakaram)
Nagendra haraya Trilochanaya,
To Naagendra, the three-eyed one,
Basmanga ragaya maheswaraya,
To the Lord of the Universe, Maheswara,
Nithyaya shudhaya digambaraya,
To the eternally pure, clad in the directions,
Tasmai 'Na'karaya namashivaya.
To the Lord of the sound 'Na', I bow down.
Mandakini salila chandana charchithaya,
To the one adorned with the waters of the Mandakini and sandalwood,
Nandeeswara pramadha nadha maheswaraya,
To the Lord of Nandeeswara and the assembly of attendants,
Mandra pushpa bahu pushpa supoojithaya,
To the one worshipped with fragrant flowers and garlands,
Tasmai 'Ma'karaya namashivaya.
To the Lord of the sound 'Ma', I bow down.
Shivaaya gowri vadanara vinda,
To Shiva, the lotus-faced consort of Gowri,
Sooryaya daksha dwara naasakaya,
To the Sun, the destroyer of Daksha's sacrifice,
Sri neela kantaya vrisha dwajaya,
To the blue-throated Lord, the bull-bannered one,
Tasmai 'Si'karaya namashivaya.
To the Lord of the sound 'Si', I bow down.
Vasishta kumbhodhbhava gowthamadhi.
Born from the water pot of Vasishta and worshipped by Gowthama,
Munendra devarchitha shekaraya,
To the Lord adored by the assembly of Munindra gods,
Chandrarka vaiswanara lochanaya,
To the one whose eyes are the moon, sun, and fire,
Tasmai 'Va'karaya namashivaya.
To the Lord of the sound 'Va', I bow down.
Yaksha swaroopaya jada dharaya,
To the one who takes the form of a Yaksha and wears matted hair,
Pinaka hasthathaya sanathanaya,
To the eternal one, wielding the Pinaka bow,
Divyaya devaaya digambaraya,
To the divine Lord, clad in the directions,
Tasmai 'Ya'karaya namashivaya.
To the Lord of the sound 'Ya', I bow down.
Phalasruthi
Result of Recitation
Panchaksharamidham punyam,
This sacred five-syllable mantra,
Ya padeth Shiva sannidhou,
When recited in the presence of Shiva,
Shivaloka maapnothi,
Grants the abode of Shiva,
Shive na saha modathe.
Where no one rejoices without Shiva.
