Когда наступит новая весна и с гор сойдут ледники
И слово мир в стране считать больше не будут плохим
А за призывы к состраданию сажать перестанут в клетку
Вот тогда-то под ними и рухнет пьедестал их ветхий
Злость — порождение слабости, добрым же быть сложней
Но не всегда люди — зеркало топящих их вождей
Проще жить оболваненным - с глупого меньше спрос
Вот только переобуться однажды бы не пришлось
Ресентимент — часть культурного кода этих земель
Чем им паршивей живётся, тем машут плетью сильней
Если где-то лучше или хотя бы не так как тут
Инстинкт вынуждает сразу же сбиться бедняг в аду
Парадокс, но на этом зиждиться их вера
Вечное сопротивление вымышленным химерам
Но, я уверен, скоро себя будет многим не узнать
Когда наступит новая весна

Вот бы всё это дурным оказалось сном
И реки слёз потекли бы вспять
Пули вернулись в затворы
Чтобы родные любимых увидели вновь
И возвратились домой опять
Ушедшие слишком скоро

Когда наступит новая весна и пелена вранья падёт
И солнце Мордор озарит, выйдя над Спасскою ладьёй
Люди откроют, наконец-то, глаза свои и поймут
Кто и зачем нарочно вёл засветло их во мглу
Пока нам вдалбливали, будто зло плодится где-то там
Мы не заметили, что у нас в первых лицах — гопота
Жизнь детей в обмен на байку — вот цена патриотизма
О каком величии мысль вам тут пытаются протиснуть
И вы, оскалившись, рады весь белый свет ненавидеть
Пока на лазурке тешатся сыновья тех, кто в МИДе
Волки сыты и целы — чего не скажешь про овец
Вместо железного, цинковый опускают занавес
Сбиться с дороги не грешно
Грешно считать, что так надо
Бравируя идиотизмом как шикарным нарядом
Но я уверен, скоро себя будет многим не узнать
Когда наступит новая весна

A New Spring

When a new spring arrives, and the glaciers descend from the mountains,
And the word "peace" in this land is no longer considered a curse,
And they stop caging people for calls for compassion,
That's when their rickety pedestal will crumble beneath them.
Anger is born of weakness, it's harder to be kind, my love.
But people aren't always a mirror of the leaders who drown them.
It's easier to live a fool's life - less is expected of a fool.
But I hope they won't have to switch sides one day.
Resentment is part of the cultural code of these lands.
The worse their lives get, the harder they crack the whip.
If somewhere is better, or at least not like here,
Instinct forces these poor souls to huddle together in hell.
Paradoxically, their faith is built on this.
Eternal resistance to fictional chimeras.
But, I'm sure, soon many won't recognize themselves,
When a new spring arrives.

If only all this were a bad dream,
And the rivers of tears flowed back upstream.
Bullets returned to their chambers,
So that families could see their loved ones again,
And they returned home once more,
Those who left too soon.

When a new spring arrives, and the veil of lies falls,
And the sun illuminates Mordor, rising above the Spasskaya Tower,
People will finally open their eyes and understand,
Who and why deliberately led them into darkness in broad daylight.
While they were hammering into us that evil breeds somewhere out there,
We didn't notice that we have thugs in the highest offices.
Children's lives in exchange for a fairy tale - that's the price of patriotism.
What kind of greatness are they trying to push on you here?
And you, grinning, are happy to hate the whole world,
While the sons of those in the Foreign Ministry frolic on the Azure Coast.
The wolves are well-fed and safe - which can't be said for the sheep.
Instead of an iron curtain, they're lowering a zinc one.
It's not a sin to stray from the path,
It's a sin to think that this is how it should be,
Flaunting idiocy like a chic outfit.
But, I'm sure, soon many won't recognize themselves,
When a new spring arrives.
