さ霧消ゆる 湊江の
舟に白し 朝の霜
ただ水鳥の 声はして
いまだ覚めず 岸の家

鳥啼きて 木に高く
人は畑に 麦を踏む
げに小春日の のどけしや
かえり咲きの 花も見ゆ

嵐吹きて 雲は落ち
時雨降りて 日は暮れぬ
若し燈火の 漏れ来ずば
それと分かじ 野辺の里

As the morning mist disperses over the harbor
Boats appear, coated in white frost
Only the sound of waterbirds can be heard
As the houses on the shore remain asleep

Birds chirp high in the trees
While people tread wheat in the fields
Truly, the tranquility of early spring
Flowers are even blooming again

The storm rages, clouds descend
Drizzle falls, and day turns to night
If not for the faint glow of lights
We'd mistake this countryside for wilderness
