דחף אותי לשם
הוא דחף ברגל את כסא הגלגלים
אפילו לא רטן
הוא דחף ברגל אלף שלוש מאות מילין
זה פנקס הקטן.

היא לא העיפה בו מבט
והוא ימים רבים צעד
ועם כסא הגלגלים
מכפר לכפר ללא מילים
כי בשבילו היא עוד היתה
הוד מעלתה.

וכשהגיעו ועצרו ממש לחוף הים
היא אמרה פתאום:
רד על שתי ברכיך
רד נא פנקס הקטן
כי הגיע יום
מהיום אביר תהיה להוד מעלתה
כי כבר בא הזמן
אהבתיך,
בוא נשקיני נא -
בוא פנקס הקטן.

והוא נשק רכות רכות
לשתי שפתיה הסדוקות
