Bu mâtemde olan, derd ile hicrâna devâ olmaz.
Bu feryâd-ı hüseynî'dir. buna uşşâk, nevâ olmaz.

Hasan ile hüseyin'dir ol resûl'ün kurretü-l aynı,
Sevenler âl-i evlâdın eşiğinden cüdâ olmaz.

Tevellâsın, teberrâsın bilen uşşâka aşk olsun!
Tarikatta budur erkân; buna illâ ve lâ olmaz.

Vukuât-ı hüseyn-i kerbelâ'mn mâtemengîzi
Semâ vü hâme vü savt ü hurûf ile edâ olmaz.

Fasîhâ, nüh felek yâkut ü rümmân ile pür olsa,
O mihr-i âlemin bir katra kânına bahâ olmaz.

Those in this mourning, with pain and with separation, will not be cured.
This is the cry of Hussein, it is not for lovers, there will be no melody.

Hasan and Hussein are the light of the eyes of that prophet,
Those who love the family of the prophet will not be strangers from their doorstep.
