Surah Al-Qiyama

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ
لَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
وَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلنَّفۡسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجۡمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ
بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُۥ
بَلۡ يُرِيدُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفۡجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ
يَسَۡٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ
وَخَسَفَ ٱلۡقَمَرُ
وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ
يَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ أَيۡنَ ٱلۡمَفَرُّ
كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقَرُّ
يُنَبَّؤُاْ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذِۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ
بَلِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٞ
وَلَوۡ أَلۡقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
لَا تُحَرِّكۡ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعۡجَلَ بِهِۦٓ
إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا جَمۡعَهُۥ وَقُرۡءَانَهُۥ
فَإِذَا قَرَأۡنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعۡ قُرۡءَانَهُۥ
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا بَيَانَهُۥ
كَلَّا بَلۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ
وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ
وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاضِرَةٌ
إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٞ
وَوُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذِۢ بَاسِرَةٞ
تَظُنُّ أَن يُفۡعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٞ
كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِيَ
وَقِيلَ مَنۡۜ رَاقٖ
وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلۡفِرَاقُ
وَٱلۡتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمَسَاقُ
فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ
وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
أَوۡلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوۡلَىٰ
ثُمَّ أَوۡلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوۡلَىٰٓ
أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتۡرَكَ سُدًى
أَلَمۡ يَكُ نُطۡفَةٗ مِّن مَّنِيّٖ يُمۡنَىٰ
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةٗ فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
فَجَعَلَ مِنۡهُ ٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰٓ
أَلَيۡسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحۡـِۧيَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ

Surah Al-Qiyama

By the Day of Resurrection
And by that self-reproaching soul,
Does man think that We will not gather his bones?
Yes. Indeed We are Able to restore his very fingers.
But man desires to commit sin ahead of him.
He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
So when the sight becomes dazed,
And the moon is eclipsed,
And the sun and moon are joined,
That Day, man will say, "Where is the place of escape?"
No! There is no refuge.
To your Lord is that Day the final destination.
Man will be informed that Day of what he has put forward and what he has left behind.
In fact, man is a witness against himself,
Even if he presents his excuses.
Do not move your tongue about it to hasten it.
Upon Us is its collection and its recitation.
And when We recite it, follow its recitation.
Then upon Us is its explanation.
No! You love the immediate,
And you neglect the Hereafter.
Faces on that Day will be radiant,
Looking to their Lord.
And faces on that Day will be gloomy,
Thinking that an affliction is about to strike them.
No! When it reaches the collarbone,
And it will be said, 'Who can cure?'
And he will know that it is the time of departure.
And the leg will be wound around the leg.
To your Lord, that Day is the destination.
For he did not believe, nor did he pray.
But he denied and turned away.
Then he went to his family, swaggering.
Woe to you, and woe.
Then woe to you, and woe.
Then woe to you, and woe.
Does man think that he will be left aimless?
Was he not a drop of ejected semen?
Then he became a clinging clot, and Allah created and proportioned,
And made of it the two mates, the male and the female.
Is Allah not able to give life to the dead?
