توه صغير السن بالزيـن شايـش
و إلا عنـودٍ تدهـل القلـب و تقيـم
ترعى الحشا بين الضلوع المشايش
نجل العيون اللي هدبها صواريـم
من لاعته ناشه من الموت نايـش
كم فارس ٍ قبلك تجزع من الضيـم
مطروح لا يقوى و لا هو بـ هايـش
تعرضن لـــه ضامــرات المحـازيـم
أهل القـدود المترفـات النشايـش
و تبششن لـه بالثمـان المناظيـم
و أثر البلا من عقب هاك البشايـش
كم ضحكة ٍ سرت قلوب الشغاميـم
و عقب الهنا و الضحك جرت بلايش
هذا الهوى مبداه قطر ٍ مـن الغيـم
و أتلاه أنقع من سمـوم الهوايـش
و العشق وأهل العشق سقم ومساقيم
كم واحد ٍ ميت و لو كان عايـش
انشد عِلِيم وخـل عنـك التواهيـم
و احذر و لو حاشك من النفس حايش

Ya Sah

Oh beloved, turn away, do not venture into the grazing ground of the gazelle.
Beware of an arrow that flies swiftly with the wind.
An arrow from the bow of a gaze, filled with poison.
Its wound is deep, and it sends the mind into confusion.
It is shot by a young gazelle who does not fear threats.
He is still young in age, but adorned with beauty.
Or else it is a young doe who will enter the heart and make it her home.
She will pasture in the midst of the heart's ribs.
The daughter of the eyes whose lashes are like spears.
He who is stung by her is like one who has escaped death.
