Wir warn am Hip Hop Camp. 2005 war das Jahr
Wir haben gelacht und gepackt für die Heimfahrt
Mein Kopf war immer noch verdammt schwer vom Vortag.
Auf einmal war da dieses Telefonat.
Es war Aki und er meinete das mein Freund Levin starb.
Letzte Nacht auf der Autobahn zwischen Wien und Graz.
Abgedrängt von der Fahrbahn, ein Reifen war geplatzt.
Fuck... ich habs gar nicht mehr gepackt,
Ich glaub die ganze Fahrt hab ich gar nichts mehr gesagt
Und nur apathisch aus dem Fenster geglotzt.
Die Hoffnug stirbt zuletzt und zersprängt deinen Kopf.

Wir waren uns nicht nur äusserlich ähnlich. Levin war der bessere Mensch
Und nicht wie ich so überheblich - Mr Nesh.
Ein Hip Hop- und Graffitihead im Baumarkt war's in Liesing.
Haben wir unsere ersten Cans geragt und danach die Trains entdeckt.
Keiner hat wie er getagt, dein Platz bleibt immer leer wie Scrabs.
Wir waren unterwegs. Nächtelang um 6 sind wir erst zurück,
Mit S- oder Straßenbahn.
Mit seinem ersten Auto, sind von Berlin bis nach Prag gefahren.
Anfangs hatten wir noch kein Plan fühlten uns einsam,
Erst dann kam die Connection und die Action wie bei Stylewars.

Es war nicht das erste Mal, daß ich die Kehrseite sah.
Das er fast in meinem Alter war, traf mich besonders hart.
Seine Ma (Mutter) hat's überlebt, obwohl sie gleich daneben saß.
Zwischen Glück und Tragik ist oft nur ein schmaler Grad.
Beim Begräbnis hat sie mich getröstet und nahm mich in den Arm.
Da waren ne Menge Leute, die wie ich gebeutelt waren.
Mit gebeugten Häuptern standen wir danach vor seinem Grab.
Am Kahlenberg auf halber höhe direkt über Wien.
Manchmal schaun wir noch vorbei und rauchen Ofen mit ihm.

My head was still damn heavy from the day before.
Suddenly there was this phone call.
It was Aki and he said that my friend Levin died.
Last night on the highway between Vienna and Graz.
Forced off the road, a tire had burst.
Fuck... I couldn't handle it anymore,
I think I didn't say anything the whole way
And just stared apathetically out the window.
Hope dies last and blows your mind.

We weren't just similar in appearance. Levin was the better person
And not as arrogant as me - Mr. Nesh.
A hip hop and graffiti head in the hardware store in Liesing.
We racked our first cans there and then discovered the trains.
Nobody tagged like him, your place will always be empty like Scrabs.
We were on the go. Nights on end we didn't get back until 6,
By S-Bahn or tram.
With his first car, we drove from Berlin to Prague.
At first we had no plan, we felt lonely,
Only then came the connection and the action like in Stylewars.

It wasn't the first time I'd seen the flip side.
The fact that he was almost my age hit me particularly hard.
His mom survived, even though she was sitting right next to him.
There is often only a fine line between happiness and tragedy.
At the funeral she comforted me and took me in her arms.
There were a lot of people there who were battered like me.
With bowed heads we stood before his grave afterwards.
On the Kahlenberg halfway up, directly above Vienna.
Sometimes we still stop by and smoke a bowl with him.
