Plus elles défilent moins je sais où elles m'entraînent,
Ces lignes blanches de bas-côté d'l'autocar,
Qui du matin nous enlèvent à ceux qu'on aime,

Si ces lignes rappellent au chauffeur qu'il est tard,
Pour moi elles me ramènent à qui je suis,
