I had barely stepped out the door when the other customer slid over the parquet floor.
With a sly expression on his face, he wanted to scrutinize my microphone closely.
The guy looked like a wealthy businessman. He wore a stylish suit, a sleek watch, and spoke in a formal manner.
He turned my microphone over and over in his hands, squinting his eyes and pursing his lips.
[Bless you!] Then he took a deep breath and fell silent. His hands trembled, his nostrils and eyes widened.
He showed the bartender some small initials that the previous owner had carved into it.
