Visal nefs-i zevâl oldu
Devâyı ayn-ı dâ gördüm
Bu envar zulümat oldu
Bu ahbabı yetim gördüm

Bu savtlar nây-ı mevt oldu
Bu ahyâyı mevat gördüm
Ulûm evhâma kalb oldu
Hikemde bin sekam gördüm

Lezzet ayn-ı elem oldu
Vücutta bin adem gördüm
Habib desen onu buldum
Ah, firakta çok elem gördüm

Demâ gaflet zevâl buldu
Ve nur-u Hak ayan gördüm
Vücut burhan-ı Zât oldu
Hayat, mir'ât-ı Haktır, gör

Bütün zerrat-ı mevcudat
Birer zâkir, müsebbih gör
Eğer Allah'ı buldunsa
Bütün eşya senindir, gör

Eğer hakikî abd-i hüdâbin isen
Hudutsuz bir safâdır, gör
Hesapsız bir sevap var, tad
Nihayetsiz saadet gör

Ey nefsim! Kalbim gibi ağla ve bağır ve de ki:
Fâniyim, fâni olanı istemem
Âcizim, âciz olanı istemem
Ruhumu Rahman'a teslim eyledim, gayr istemem
İsterim, fakat bir yâr-ı bâki isterim
Zerreyim, fakat bir şems-i sermed isterim
Hiç ender hiçim, fakat bu mevcudatı umumen isterim

These lights became darkness
I saw these friends as orphans

These sounds became the flute of death
I saw these lives as decay
Sciences became a heart for my fears
I saw a thousand illnesses in wisdom

Pleasure became a mirror of pain
I saw a thousand voids in the body
You say beloved, I found her

Ignorance found destruction

The body became proof of Being

All particles of creation
