I watch longingly now
As a small bird flies there,
It rises high
And sees the beautiful land
Here the meadows and forests are green
Trees can be reflected on the surface of the water
Why should I stay in longing
When the bird flies away with its wings?
I'm just a child on earth
And I have my duty here.

I could wander far beyond the seas,
I will not forget my own country.
