집에 오자마자 최근에 만든 비트를 루핑해
바탕화면 텍스트 파일을 열어보니

99년말에 일어난 커다란 사건
바로 닥터 드레 Chronic 2001 발매
그때 거의 축제 분위기였지
난 내 친구와 플레이스테이션을 하며 그 앨범을 들었어
드레가 미쳤다며 계속 플레이버튼을 눌렀어
철없고 행복한 추억들이 많은 그때
지금 보니 그때가 내 인생의 크리스마스였네
2000년이 밝으면 세상이 멸망할 거라 했지만
나는 어느덧 고등학생
드렁큰 타이거와 CB 매스가 강세였던
그때부터 가사 쓰고 랩을 했지 밤새
라킴의 랩을 들으며 등교하던 아침
가진 건 없었지만 꿈을 꾸던 나였지
오늘따라 그때가 생각나는 건 왜일까

My pace was different from most students

I put on earphones and wrote down unknown phrases
