Грянет рассвет - лишь день один
Из жизни нищего для тебя.
Он так пытался вырваться,
Повсюду побывать. Чтоб мир увидеть,
О коем столько раз читал,
Своими глазами.

Подходит час,
Тот час, чтоб двинуться в путь
В сознании нищего.
Все места, куда он должен идти,
Но не знает он зачем.
Просто в мыслях встают, одно за другим,
Словно пули из журнала.
Он уходит прочь,
Чтоб видеть сон о дне,
Когда бы смог сказать
"Прощай" и захлопнуть дверь
Пред прошлым навсегда.
Нищим больше не быть.

Ночь пройдет - и вновь денёк
Из жизни нищего для тебя.
Он вновь пытался вырваться,
Повсюду побывать.
Чтоб мир увидеть, о коём читал
На страницах журнала.
Что согревали его
В часы, когда он спит,
Чтоб видеть сон о дне,
Когда бы смог сказать
"Прощай" и захлопнуть дверь,
Пред прошлым навсегда.
Нищим больше не быть.
