I put my faith in my new found friend

We filled them in on all that we'd seen
Since all hell broke out
We listened to their stories
And many plans were formed
As the weeks and the months
Went by in a hurry
A comradery was born
But never for a minute
Did the scale of threat diminish
We gotta do the best we can
At living with it
This war is just beginning
