There was Montgomery Clift, Jonah, the Whale and me
As the sun it set, Montgomery placed his bet
Then the whale did yawn, and fell asleep in four

Wie ein Stück Schnur, dann begann er zu singen, wie ein Pearly King

Da waren Montgomery Clift, Jona, der Wal und ich
Als die Sonne unterging, platzierte Montgomery seine Wette
Dann gähnte der Wal, und schlief tief ein
Von der Dämmerung bis zum Morgengrauen, hättest du ihn schnarchen hören sollen
Von Tierra Del Fuego bis zum Schnee Alaskas... da bläst er!
