"American Spirit" is one of those songs that, uhm
I just think fully captures just the American lifestyle
Whether that's going to a football game
Or whether it's just riding around the farm
Or whether it's just hanging out with friends
Or sitting around a bonfire playing guitar

It's just very-, it's a life song
Uhm, it's one of those ones I'm glad to have on the record
'Cause I think it definitely kind of completes "Tangled Up" as a whole
Uhm, there's songs on there like "Learned It From The Radio" and "Like It's The Last Time"
That have the same sentiment, but

I love that this song is very, very dedicated towards just American culture and very nostalgic culture
And I love playing this song it's one of the favourite songs to just sit down on the guitar
And play it acoustic
And I think it's going to make for a very, very different moment in my shows
Not only this year, but next year

Ähm, es ist eines von denen, bei denen ich froh bin, es auf der Platte zu haben,
denn ich denke, es vervollständigt "Tangled Up" definitiv als Ganzes.
Ähm, es gibt Songs darauf wie "Learned It From The Radio" und "Like It's The Last Time",
die das gleiche Gefühl haben, aber

Ich liebe es, dass dieser Song sehr, sehr der amerikanischen Kultur und einer sehr nostalgischen Kultur gewidmet ist.
