"American Spirit" is one of those songs that, uhm
I just think fully captures just the American lifestyle
Whether that's going to a football game
Or whether it's just riding around the farm
Or whether it's just hanging out with friends
Or sitting around a bonfire playing guitar

It's just very-, it's a life song
Uhm, it's one of those ones I'm glad to have on the record
'Cause I think it definitely kind of completes "Tangled Up" as a whole
Uhm, there's songs on there like "Learned It From The Radio" and "Like It's The Last Time"
That have the same sentiment, but

I love that this song is very, very dedicated towards just American culture and very nostalgic culture
And I love playing this song it's one of the favourite songs to just sit down on the guitar
And play it acoustic
And I think it's going to make for a very, very different moment in my shows
Not only this year, but next year

Je pense qu'elle capture parfaitement le style de vie américain
Que ce soit aller à un match de football
Ou simplement rouler à la ferme
Ou simplement traîner avec des amis
Ou s'asseoir autour d'un feu de camp à jouer de la guitare

C'est juste très-, c'est une chanson de vie
Euhm, c'est l'une de celles que je suis content d'avoir sur le disque
Parce que je pense qu'elle complète vraiment "Tangled Up" dans son ensemble
Euhm, il y a des chansons comme "Learned It From The Radio" et "Like It's The Last Time"
Qui ont le même sentiment, mais

J'aime que cette chanson soit très, très dédiée à la culture américaine et à la culture nostalgique
Et j'adore jouer cette chanson, c'est l'une de mes préférées pour m'asseoir à la guitare
Et la jouer en acoustique
Et je pense qu'elle va créer un moment très, très différent dans mes concerts
