It was kinda being just funny and
And we ordered up couple of beers and took a sip
And then this long
And the next thing you know we were just playing fun golf

Now, in that moment though, did you stop and go away?

I think we'd better for like we have to write that idea
As a songwriter you listen hard when people talk
Because you never know someone's gonna say something that could be your next song's expression
For a song idea
So we were like "Dude, let's just go, write this down in a fun way"
Let's crack up on a beer and write "Beer can't fix"
And so... on a sunny day in Los Angeles... we were just like
Listen to this all this situation where... just maybe going out with your buddies
And cracken up a cold beer
Maybe just take mind off a something for a second
Whether you just got broken up with
Or you and your wife plan this perfect beach trip to Cancún and then
And it rains every single day
What you gonna do?
Except, you are at the bar and be like

And so that just... all this situations are like
You know you're fishing and... and nothing happening
And you're playing golf and you're terrible at it
Just kind of life hard the way to say
Just take life a little bit easier
And so when we wrote the song we was like
Call on John Party right now
And that's-that's...

I was like we're get in jump-party on this song
I'm such a gigantic fan of John
Like my wife likes John's party better than she likes me
And so I was like "well, at least, I'll get him on here"
And that's kind of a cool thing about Country music to me
Is that when you write a song
Not every time it's gonna work out
Like if other artists maybe like "Man! I've already done a colaboration record but I can't do honor"
Or hey man! this isn't really my vibe
A lot of the time when you call somebody and you hear that passionate about it
They are just like "When are you get at front of the microphone?"
And I was like... John, I got this song called "Nothing beer can't fix"
I really want you to sing along with me
And I wa' sending the song and he goes "When do I sing?"
And so, that's how easy sometimes it can be in our Genre
Because we all such good buddies and... and we always sending each others' song
And always giving each others' records when they come out
And... and when I and John put this vibe almost and I was like "let's go"
We just started doing it rehearsal and I'm just so excited to start playing the song even before it comes out

Alors, en sortant de Sand...
La chanson parfaite à écouter ensuite... c'est "Beer Can't Fix".
Avec toi et ton pote, John Pardi.
La première fois que j'ai entendu cette chanson...
Je l'imaginais à la radio...
Et je me disais que ça allait être un tube.
Et vous deux ensemble, j'aurais imaginé ça...

Vos voix ensemble sont... magiques.

Après avoir dit que si tu n'étais pas prête pour les vacances, il fallait que tu passes à autre chose, (c'est ça).

Je dis que cette chanson, là...
Je crois que j'étais à Attorney l'autre jour...
Rontler, Julien Bunetta et moi, on a écrit ces chansons l'une après l'autre...
Le même jour, à Los Angeles.
Ce que je trouve hilarant, mais je...
Julien, mon producteur, et moi, on jouait au golf...
Et on était insupportables, ce jour-là.
On était... au départ du premier trou...
Et nos premières balles sont allées directement dans les bois.

Et... Julien m'a dit : "Mec ! Rien de tel qu'une bière pour arranger ça."
C'était assez drôle, et...
On a commandé quelques bières et on a pris une gorgée.
Et puis cette chanson...
Et en un rien de temps, on jouait au golf pour le plaisir.

Mais à ce moment-là, tu t'es arrêté et tu t'es dit ?

Je crois qu'on s'est dit qu'il fallait qu'on écrive cette idée.
En tant qu'auteur-compositeur, on écoute attentivement ce que les gens disent...
Parce qu'on ne sait jamais, quelqu'un va peut-être dire quelque chose qui pourrait être l'expression de notre prochaine chanson.
Pour une idée de chanson.
Alors on s'est dit : "Mec, allons-y, écrivons ça d'une manière amusante."
Prenons une bière et écrivons "Beer Can't Fix".
Et donc... par une journée ensoleillée à Los Angeles... on s'est dit...
Imaginez toutes ces situations où... vous sortez avec vos potes...
Et que vous buvez une bière bien fraîche.
Ça vous change les idées pendant une seconde.
Que vous veniez de rompre...
Ou que votre femme et vous ayez prévu ce voyage parfait à la plage à Cancún, et que...
Il pleuve tous les jours.
Qu'est-ce que vous allez faire ?
Sauf aller au bar et dire...
Je peux avoir une Corona, s'il vous plaît ?
Et donc, toutes ces situations sont comme...
Tu sais, tu pêches et... il ne se passe rien.
Tu joues au golf et tu es nul.
C'est une façon de dire que la vie est dure.
Prends la vie un peu plus à la légère.
Alors quand on a écrit la chanson, on s'est dit...
On appelle John Pardi tout de suite.

Je me suis dit qu'on allait faire venir Jon Pardi sur cette chanson.
Je suis un grand fan de Jon.
Ma femme aime plus Jon Pardi qu'elle ne m'aime.
Alors je me suis dit : "Au moins, je l'aurai sur mon album."
Et c'est ce que je trouve cool dans la musique country.
C'est que quand tu écris une chanson...
Ça ne marche pas à tous les coups.
Comme si d'autres artistes disaient : "Mec ! J'ai déjà fait un disque en collaboration, mais je ne peux pas en faire un autre."
Ou alors : "Hé mec ! Ce n'est pas vraiment mon truc."
La plupart du temps, quand tu appelles quelqu'un et que tu l'entends passionné par le projet...
Il te dit : "Quand est-ce que je passe au micro ?".
Et j'étais là... Jon, j'ai cette chanson qui s'appelle "Nothing Beer Can't Fix".
J'aimerais vraiment que tu la chantes avec moi.
Je lui ai envoyé la chanson et il m'a dit : "C'est quand que je chante ?".
C'est aussi simple que ça, parfois, dans notre genre.
Parce qu'on est tous très amis et... on s'envoie toujours nos chansons.
Et on se donne toujours nos albums quand ils sortent.
Et... et quand Jon et moi avons eu ce feeling, je me suis dit : "Allons-y."
On a commencé à la répéter et j'ai tellement hâte de commencer à la jouer en concert, avant même qu'elle ne sorte.
