The atmosphere was getting thick, the guy beside me looking sick
I would′ve helped, at least I thought I ought to
He flashed me an appearing grin, I stopped and took the feeling in
I wasn't sure, but something told me not to

I knew I couldn't take much more, I started making for the door
And as I passed my date, I let her kiss me
I grabbed my coat and stepped outside
I stuck my thumb out for a ride
Departing knowing they would never miss me

Cela valait la peine de tout voir qu'il était ravi

L'atmosphère devenait épaisse, le type à côté de moi avait l'air malade
J'aurais pu l'aider, au moins je pensais que je le devais
Il m'a lancé un sourire apparent, je me suis arrêté et j'ai absorbé le sentiment
Je n'étais pas sûr, mais quelque chose m'a dit de ne pas le faire

Je savais que je ne pouvais pas en supporter beaucoup plus, j'ai commencé à aller vers la porte
Et en passant devant ma date, je l'ai laissée m'embrasser
J'ai attrapé mon manteau et suis sorti
J'ai sorti mon pouce pour avoir une ride
Partir en sachant qu'ils ne me manqueraient jamais
