The nighttime is over and here comes the sun

The monkey wakes first and soon wakes the whole zoo
Chattering and calling out ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Wake up penguin, time to rise and shine
Flap-flap goes the penguin, waddle-waddle in a line

Squawk says flamingo, stretching out his neck
Click-click goes his beak as he gives a little peck
Stomp-stomp plods the elephant, swaying as he goes
Harrumph! He trumpets proudly through his trunk and his nose

The bear is warm and cosy in his soft and cuddly fur
He stretches his paws and yawns a mighty grr
Coil by coil, look who is starting to wake
"Good morning, hiss-hiss", says our friend the snake

Lion gets up from his bed on the floor
He stretches his back and lets out a roar
The alligator wants to finish his nap
But it's time to wake up now, snap, snap, snap

Dolphin wakes up and starts the day with a dash
He leaps out of the water with a click and a splash
Wakey-wakey zebra, what do you say?
With a snort and a trot, she replies with a neigh

Good morning, whale, are you out and about?
Whoosh goes the water up out of her spout
Come on sleepy head, it's nearly half past
Grr, growls tiger as he wakes up at last

For owl, it's not morning, it's bedtime instead
Tu-wit-tu-woo
Good night, Number Zoo
I'm off to bed

Réveil au Zoo

La nuit est finie et voici le soleil
Qui brille fort sur le Zoo des Nombres
Réveillez-vous tout le monde

Le singe se réveille en premier et réveille bientôt tout le zoo
Il jacasse et appelle ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Réveille-toi pingouin, il est temps de se lever et de briller
Clap-clap fait le pingouin, il se dandine en ligne

Croasse le flamant rose, étirant son cou
Clac-clac fait son bec en donnant un petit coup
Pif-paf marche l'éléphant, se balançant au fur et à mesure
Harrumph! Il barrit fièrement par sa trompe et son nez

L'ours est au chaud et confortable dans sa fourrure douce et moelleuse
Il étend ses pattes et bâille un puissant grr
Spire après spire, regardez qui commence à se réveiller
"Bonjour, siffle-siffle", dit notre ami le serpent

Le lion se lève de son lit par terre
Il s'étire le dos et pousse un rugissement
L'alligator veut finir sa sieste
Mais il est temps de se réveiller maintenant, clac, clac, clac

Le dauphin se réveille et commence la journée avec un élan
Il saute hors de l'eau avec un clic et un splash
Debout-debout zèbre, que dis-tu?
Avec un reniflement et un trot, elle répond par un hennissement

Bonjour, baleine, es-tu dehors?
Whoosh fait l'eau qui sort de son évent
Allez tête endormie, il est presque sept heures et demie
Grr, grogne le tigre en se réveillant enfin

Pour la chouette, ce n'est pas le matin, c'est l'heure du coucher
Hou-hou
Bonne nuit, Zoo des Nombres
Je vais au lit
