So, a couple days ago, someone came up to me and said
My content is the same in all my songs
Which, they're right; it's about my sophomore year of high school
Where I had the biggest ego
I'm not saying I don't have an ego now
But at least, like, I feel like I've accomplished something
Sophomore year, I didn't accomplish anything
So that's why I write about that
I just wanna ask- Is anyone truly proud of me?
Can you look me in the eye and say that your proud of me?
Because, honestly, I feel like no one's proud of me
I mean, it's not a bad thing; I, I really haven't accomplished anything yet
Just dropping songs that don't mean anything yet

Thought I had some respect, when I had no respect
Thought I had clout, when I didn't have a single check

I think it's time that I put down the pen
It's 4 A.M., been writin' since 10
I wanna say sorry, but my text won't send
I put down my phone, but it's ringin' again
She asked how I'm doin', and I said
"I don't know. I could be better, but my ego gotta go
I'm at the point where I feel like I'm winnin'

Also, vor ein paar Tagen kam jemand zu mir und sagte,
Meine Inhalte sind in all meinen Songs gleich.
Was stimmt; es geht um mein zweites Jahr an der High School,
Wo ich das größte Ego hatte.
Ich sage nicht, dass ich jetzt kein Ego habe,
Aber zumindest fühle ich mich, als hätte ich etwas erreicht.
Im zweiten Jahr habe ich nichts erreicht.

Aber sie konnten nicht reifen, also verrotten sie in meinem Kopf.

Ich versuche rauszukommen, aber da ist ein Stern im Weg.
