Na ja, ich dachte, die machen hier gerade 'n Film
So 'ne Science Fiction Show
Das sind Dreharbeiten
Doch dann sah ich da hinten ein gigantisches Ufo
Das sah so beängstigend echt aus
Gar nicht wie 'ne Attrappe
Und Gerhard lächelt und fragt:
Glaubst du denn, wir kommen mit'm
Flugzeug aus Pappe?

Ich dachte: Moment mal, das gibt's doch nicht
Das krieg' ich in meinen Kopf nicht rein
Doch da stieg Kosmos-Gerhard
Auch schon in mein Auto ein
Er meinte: Paß mal auf
Wir fahren jetzt noch eben zu dir nach Haus
Da packst du alles ein, was du brauchst
Und dann fliegen wir ins Weltall raus

Wir fliegen zu einem fernen Planet
Auf dem's musikalisch nicht mehr weitergeht
Nur noch Robotersounds und Computerklänge
Wir brauchen in unserem Imperium
Dich fürs Musikministerium
Wir haben die Nase vom Kosmosrock voll
Wir wollen jetzt den irdischen Rock 'n' Roll

A guy stood there waving, and I thought:

And then he leans slightly forward

Well, I thought they were doing a movie here
A science fiction show
They are shooting
But then I saw a gigantic UFO back there
That looked so frighteningly real
Not like a dummy at all
And Gerhard smiles and asks:
Do you think we're coming with a
Paper plane?

I thought: Wait a minute, this can't be true
I can't get that into my head
But then Kosmos-Gerhard
Also got into my car
He said: Pay attention
We'll just drive to your house now
You pack everything you need
And then we fly into space

We are flying to a distant planet
On which there is no more musical progress
Only robot sounds and computer melodies
We need you in our empire
For the Ministry of Music
We're sick of cosmos rock
We want earthly rock 'n' roll now
