We need to step back,
And turn off this false reality.

I hate to turn it on,
And see a world gone wrong.
Why God's watching over me,
Unlocking His wisdom and mercy.
Why can't we turn it off,
And set our minds on things above?

God, open our eyes,
To what you have in store for us.
Take these eyes of mine,
Away from this unrighteousness.
Reveal to me, your straight and narrow path.
Break the chain of this unrighteous act.

Letting down our guards,
Enslaved by images,
Trading all our knowledge,
For the chance at entertainment.
Adding more frustration,
To the confusion of our minds.
Switching channel to channel,
Never knowing what we're going to find.

Briser la chaîne

Est-ce qu'on fait de notre mieux,
Pour être le meilleur qu'on puisse être ?
On ne connaît pas le problème.
On est fatigué d'essayer de le résoudre.
Alors on reste complaisant,
Et on éteint notre façon de penser.
On s'échappe de la réalité,
Mais à la chaîne, on ajoute un autre maillon.
Qu'est-ce qui nous retient,
De servir celui qui nous a libérés ?
On doit prendre du recul,
Et éteindre cette fausse réalité.

Je déteste l'allumer,
Et voir un monde qui a mal tourné.
Pourquoi Dieu veille sur moi,
Déverrouillant sa sagesse et sa miséricorde.
Pourquoi ne pouvons-nous pas l'éteindre,
Et fixer notre esprit sur les choses d'en haut ?

Dieu, ouvre nos yeux,
À ce que tu as en réserve pour nous.
Prends ces yeux à moi,
Loin de cette iniquité.
Révèle-moi, ton chemin droit et étroit.
Briser la chaîne de cet acte inique.

Baissant la garde,
Asservis par des images,
Échangeant toute notre connaissance,
Pour la chance de se divertir.
Ajoutant plus de frustration,
À la confusion de nos esprits.
Changeant de chaîne en chaîne,
Ne sachant jamais ce qu'on va trouver.
