Change, today I want to talk to you about the word change
Not the type that you give to God passing it off as an offering
No not the kind that jingles & clangs I'm talking about the opposite of stubbornness
The refusal to stay the same yes change
It's such an easy word to say but it's also a difficult word to do
Oh don't get quiet on me now for God sees right through you
So many of us are caught up in our worldly ways we stay in the same old routine
Caught up in the day by days can't shake us from our path, no way Jose
I don't care that my path is wide
I love my comfort I adore my pride
Greed keeps money in my pockets
Lust keeps me satisfied
Envy keeps me hungry longing for more, hatred keeps my enemies beneath me
Wickedness keeps less people from knocking at my door
But at my door stood a man that healed the sick & fed the poor
A man whose arms stretched as wide as the ocean
His compassionate eyes stared at the brawl between my flesh & my spirit but my bodyguard named broken heart
Wouldn't let Him come near it but Jesus wouldn't hear it
His bloody hands touched my broken heart & told it to step aside
He grabbed greed by it's throat & He tossed out pride He squeezed greed til he choked & threw him outside
Lust & envy took off running wickedness & hatred snuck towards the door
Jesus pushed them all out & said sin don't live here anymore
He looked me in the eye & said it's time to make a choice, it's time to stake your claim
Will you chose the transformation or will you fight to stay the same
If you refuse to fight both in & out of season you have only yourself to blame
When those trumpets blow & every knee begins to bow
It will be too late to make that change

Wandel

Wandel, heute möchte ich mit dir über das Wort Wandel sprechen
Nicht die Art, die du Gott als Opfer gibst
Nein, nicht die, die klimpert und klirrt, ich meine das Gegenteil von Sturheit
Die Weigerung, gleich zu bleiben, ja Wandel
Es ist so leicht auszusprechen, doch schwer umzusetzen
Oh, verstumm nicht, denn Gott durchschaut dich
Viele von uns stecken in weltlichen Wegen fest, im selben Trott
Gefangen im Alltag, niemand bringt uns vom Weg, kein Weg, José
Mir egal, wenn mein Pfad breit ist
Ich liebe mein Wohlbefinden, ich verehre meinen Stolz
Gier hält Geld in meinen Taschen
Lust hält mich zufrieden
Neid macht mich hungrig, begehre mehr, Hass hält meine Feinde unter mir
Bösartigkeit hält weniger Leute davon ab, an meine Tür zu klopfen
Doch an meiner Tür stand ein Mann, der die Kranken heilte und die Armen speiste
Ein Mann, dessen Arme so weit wie der Ozean reichten
Seine mitfühlenden Augen sahen den Kampf zwischen meinem Fleisch und meinem Geist, doch mein Leibwächter namens gebrochenes Herz
Lieb nicht zu, dass Er näher kam, doch Jesus hörte nicht darauf
Seine blutigen Hände berührten mein gebrochenes Herz und forderten es auf, beiseitezutreten
Er packte die Gier am Hals und warf den Stolz hinaus, er presste die Gier, bis sie erstickte, und warf sie raus
Lust und Neid flohen, Bosheit und Hass schlichen zur Tür
Jesus stieß sie alle hinaus und sagte: Sünde lebt hier nicht mehr
Er sah mich an und sagte: Es ist Zeit, eine Wahl zu treffen, es ist Zeit, Stellung zu beziehen
Wählst du die Verwandlung oder kämpfst du, um gleich zu bleiben?
Wenn du dich weigerst zu kämpfen, in und außerhalb der Zeit, trägst du selbst die Schuld
Wenn die Posaunen erklingen und jedes Knie sich beugt
Wird es zu spät sein, diesen Wandel zu vollziehen
