Se han deglutido todo el maíz.
A los manzanos se los ve
Cayendo antes de florecer,
Se agusanaron los tomates,
Y a las verduras, por más que trate,
Ya no hay manera de hacerles bien...
Ya no sé qué hacer
Ni tengo con quién.
La gente duda en empezar
La tarea dura de cosechar,
Lo poco que queda se va a perder
Si, como le dije, no ponemos fe
Y celeridad.
Y entre los males y los desmanes
Hay cierta gente que ya se sabe -,
Saca provecho de la ocasión;
Comprando a uno lo que vale dos
Y haciendo abuso de autoridad
Se llevan hasta la integridad.
