В заповедных и дремучих страшных Муромских лесах
Всяка нечисть бродит тучей и в проезжих сеет страх

В заколдованных болотах там кикиморы живут
Защекочут до икоты и на дно уволокут

А мужик, купец и воин попадал в дремучий лес
Кто зачем: кто с перепою, а кто сдуру в чащу лез

Где такие злые бесы — чуть друг друга не едят

Соловей-разбойник главный им устроил буйный пир
А от их был Змей трёхглавый и слуга его — Вампир
Пили зелье в черепах, ели бульники
Танцевали на гробах, богохульники!

Змей Горыныч взмыл на древо, ну раскачивать его
"Выводи, Разбойник, девок — пусть покажут кой-чего!
Пусть нам лешие попляшут, попоют!
А не то я, знайте наших, всех сгною!"

Все взревели как медведи
"Натерпелись — сколько лет!
Ведьмы мы али не ведьмы, мы патриотки али нет?!
Налил бельма, ишь ты, клещ, — отоварился!
А ещё на наших женщин позарился!"
Страшно, аж жуть!

И Соловей-разбойник тоже был не только лыком шит
Он гикнул, свистнул, крикнул
"Рожа, ты, заморский паразит!
Убирайся, — говорит, — без бою, уматывай
И Вампира, — говорит, — с собою прихватывай!"
Страшно, аж жуть!

А вот теперь седые люди помнят прежние дела
Билась нечисть грудью в груди и друг друга извела
Прекратилося навек безобразие
Ходит в лес человек безбоязненно
Не страшно ничуть!

And the peasant, the merchant, and the warrior found themselves in the dense forest,
Each for their own reason: some hungover, some foolishly venturing into the thicket.
They stumbled in, with or without reason,
But all of them were seen no more - as if they vanished.

(Nightingale-robber...) From the overseas forest, where it's pure hell,
Where such evil demons almost devour each other,
To later commit their joint evil,
They came to share their experience.

The Nightingale-Robber, their leader, threw them a wild feast,
And from them came the Three-Headed Serpent and his servant, the Vampire.
They drank potion from skulls, ate mushrooms,
Danced on coffins, the blasphemers!

The Serpent Gorynych soared onto a tree, swaying it,
"Bring out the girls, Robber, let them show us something!
Let the leshy dance and sing for us!
Or else I, you know our ways, will rot you all!"

Everyone roared like bears,

Are we witches or not, are we patriots or not?!
He's got bloodshot eyes, that tick, he's stocked up!
And he even set his sights on our women!"

And the Nightingale-Robber wasn't just a pushover either,
He whooped, whistled, shouted,
"You ugly mug, you overseas parasite!
Get lost, he says, without a fight, scram,
And take your Vampire with you, he says!"

And now, the old folks remember the deeds of old,
The evil spirits fought chest to chest and destroyed each other.
The disgrace ended forever,
Man walks in the forest without fear,
Not scary at all!
