Bis an das Ende dieser Zeit,

In Christ my whole hold is found, my love.
He is my light, my healing, my song,
The cornerstone, the firm foundation,
A sure stronghold in storm and wind's duration.
Who loves like Him, stills all my fear,
Brings peace to me amidst the battle here?
My comfort He, in all my pain and strife,
In His love, I find my hold on life.

The eternal Word, as man was born,
God revealed in a child, on that blessed morn.
The Lord of all, mocked and scorned, you see,
And by His own rejected, tragically.
Yet there upon the cross, where Jesus died,
And God's wrath was satisfied,
He bore the sins of all the world so wide,
Through His wounds, my healing is applied.

Now death has lost its power and its sting,
I am reborn through Christ, a new-found thing.
My life lies safe within His hand so strong,
From my first breath, where I belonged.
And no power in this world can sever,
Me from Him, who holds me forever,
Until the end of time's swift flight,
When He appears in glorious light.
For I am His, and He is mine, my sweet,
In Christ, my hold is truly complete.
