Something that I've thought about, uh
Well, not a ton but like, it's been on- it's, you know-
It's been in my brain, it's been in my mind
Uh, since I first started watching the series
I mean, specifically with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, right?
Their whole thing for the- for like-
A good chunk of the show was the whole
"Oh, they don't have cutie marks!"
They don't have cutie marks
And they aren't treated well for it, and that sucks
And, like, I found it really cool that, as characters
Their whole thing was just-
You know, having fun
And being friends and experiencing life without any sort of one goal
They were just kind of experiencing it
They weren't, like, defined by their one true talent, you know?
They could just be themselves

Y-You think about cutie marks, you could say that
"Oh! It's something that they're talented at, you know?"
But then there's points that doesn't really work
Because like, Rarity's talented at- at fashion and stuff
You know, a-and creating things
But her cutie mark is, g- uh... gems
But then, like with Applejack; she got her cutie mark
When she realized she should go back to her family
But that'a kind of different from, from apple bucking and stuff
'Cause that could mean anything
But I remember there was the episode where, uh, Apple Bloom
She made a potion
Think she stole the stuff from Zecora
And it gave her a "cutie mark", quote unquote
And it was, like, plate spinning?
And she was like, "Wow! Finally, I have a goal"
Or whatever, and she just did plate spinning all the time
I mean, I can respect that, I guess
But it was almost like she had to?
And I think in this situation it was more like a compulsion to

So, th- the issue I have with it is basically the idea of a cutie mark
Is, it's the one thing that's a summation of you, right?
It's meant to be like what defines you and your one true purpose
But the thing is like, that's not how anyone works
You can't really do that
So it really annoyed me with the Cutie Mark Crusaders
That they got cutie marks in the end, and it was this weird
"Your one entire thing in life is just...
Helping other people find their entire thing in life."
Maybe there's multiple things that are like important
Maybe there's no one big thing
Maybe it's just a bunch of little things
That, that there's some enjoyment in, you know?
I think I would be neat if there was more, uh...
Ponies without cutie marks
And they weren't just trying to find one
It's just that, I don't even know
I'm a little tired, I'm always tired though

Ich meine, speziell bei den Cutie Mark Crusaders, oder?
Ihr ganzes Ding für eine- für so-
Einen großen Teil der Show war dieses
"Oh, sie haben keine Cutie Marks!"
Sie haben keine Cutie Marks
Und sie werden deswegen schlecht behandelt, das ist blöd
Und ich fand es richtig cool, dass sie als Charaktere
Ihr ganzes Ding einfach war-
Weißt du, Spaß haben
Und Freunde sein und das Leben ohne ein bestimmtes Ziel erleben
Sie haben es einfach erlebt
Sie waren nicht von ihrem einen wahren Talent definiert, verstehst du?
Sie konnten einfach sie selbst sein

D-Du denkst über Cutie Marks nach, man könnte sagen
"Oh! Es ist etwas, worin sie talentiert sind, weißt du?"
Aber es gibt Punkte, wo das nicht wirklich funktioniert
Weil, Rarity ist talentiert in- in Mode und so
Weißt du, u-und Dinge erschaffen
Aber ihr Cutie Mark ist, äh... Edelsteine
Aber dann, bei Applejack; sie bekam ihr Cutie Mark
Als sie merkte, sie sollte zu ihrer Familie zurückkehren
Aber das ist etwas anderes als Äpfel pflücken und so
Weil das könnte alles bedeuten
Aber ich erinnere mich an die Folge, wo, äh, Apple Bloom
Sie braute einen Trank
Ich glaube, sie hat das Zeug von Zecora geklaut
Und er gab ihr ein "Cutie Mark", in Anführungszeichen
Und es war so, Teller drehen?
Und sie war wie, "Wow! Endlich habe ich ein Ziel"
Oder so, und sie hat nur noch Teller gedreht
Ich meine, das kann ich respektieren, denke ich
Aber es war fast, als müsste sie?
Und ich denke, hier war es mehr ein Zwang dazu

Also, d-das Problem, das ich damit habe, ist im Grunde die Idee eines Cutie Marks
Ist, es ist die eine Sache, die dich zusammenfasst, oder?
Es soll das sein, was dich definiert und deinen einen wahren Zweck
Aber die Sache ist, so funktioniert niemand
Das kannst du nicht wirklich tun
Also hat es mich bei den Cutie Mark Crusaders echt genervt
Dass sie am Ende Cutie Marks bekamen, und es war dieses komische
"Deine ganze Sache im Leben ist nur...
Anderen zu helfen, ihre ganze Sache im Leben zu finden."
Vielleicht gibt es mehrere Dinge, die wichtig sind
Vielleicht gibt es keine eine große Sache
Vielleicht sind es nur ein paar kleine Dinge
Die, die einfach Spaß machen, weißt du?
Ich fände es toll, wenn es mehr, äh...
Ponys ohne Cutie Marks gäbe
Und sie würden nicht versuchen, eines zu finden
Es ist nur, ich weiß nicht mal
Ich bin ein bisschen müde, aber ich bin immer müde
