道端に芽吹く新緑が
葉を閉じて訪る夕暮れ
一つ二つ灯、燈り
薪の燃える薫りがした
この町に別れを告げた

やっと口に出して言えた

そして帰る場所を求めるのだと誰かが言った
そんな気がして見上げる空の彼方
"きっと明日は来る"と、
"未来は在る"と信じてみよう
例え小さな歩幅でさえ確実に進む

誰かの為に両手広げて迎えるのさ

Nostalgia for the Sky

The budding new leaves on the roadside
Close their leaves as dusk visits
One by one, lanterns light up
The smell of burning firewood
I bid farewell to this town
How much time has passed since that day

I trudge down the dark road
I'm always stumbling somewhere
Afraid of something
Yes, deep in my heart, I yearned for my hometown
All of us, lost, searching for light, weary from walking
Suddenly, everything becomes distasteful, and we stop
And so someone said that we seek a place to return to
Feeling that way, I look up at the night sky of the city
Standing still in the quiet
Recalling the many days of the past
Now that I look back
A past I cannot let go of
I swore I'd never return
How much time has passed since that day
Before I knew it, I'd grown old
And I shed
"I'm sorry"
I could always hear it faintly
The sound of the bell at dusk
I finally uttered
"Thank you"
All of us, lost, searching for light, weary from walking

And so someone said that we seek a place to return to
Feeling that way, I look up at the distant sky
"Surely tomorrow will come,"
"And the future does exist," let's believe it
Even if the steps we take are small, let's move forward surely
