In die erste Schüssel Zucker, zweihundertachtzig Gramm,
Und Zuckerrübensirup (wenn wir so was ham).
Davon nehm ich vierzig Gramm und mixe geschwind,
So lang, bis keine Klümpchen mehr vorhanden sind.
Dazu zweihundert Gramm weiche Margarine
Und zwei frische Eier. Dann die selbe Schiene:
Wieder alles gut verrühr′n, denn das ist der Schlüssel zum Erfolg
Und jetzt brauch ich noch 'ne Schüssel.

Vierhundert Gramm Mehl, jeweils einen Teelöffel Natron
Und einen Vanillepulver ungesüßt, ich glaub′, das war's schon.
Ach nee, 'nen halben Teelöffel Salz, jetzt fällt′s mir ein!
Das Ganze gut vermischt in die erste Schüssel rein,
Und nochmal rühr′n, doch nur kurz, denn es wär' schade,
Wenn die Kekse zäh würden. Jetzt ist die Schokolade,
Dreihundert Gramm, in kleinen Stücken unter den Teig zu heben.
Den Teig in einen luftdichten Behälter geben.

Den Teig vierundzwanzig Stunden in den Kühlschrank stellen,
Dann ham die Kekse Biss, und wer Biss hat, muss nicht bellen.
Jetzt mach ich mir nen netten Tag und ne schöne Nacht,
Und morgen wird das Werk vollbracht:
Den Backofen heizen auf hundertachtzig Grad
Backpapier aufs Blech, dann mach ich den Teig parat:
In fünfzig kleinen Kugeln aufs Backblech drauf,
Abstand halten, denn die Dinger geh′n auf!

Dann auf der mittleren Schiene 'ne Viertelstunde backen,
Zeit genug zum Spül′n und um die Schüsseln wegzupacken.
Ofen aus, Klappe auf. Das Schönste, was es gibt:
Die Sekunde der Vollendung, die jeder Künstler liebt.
Und habe ich mal Pech und seh ein paar Verbrannte,
Bin ich ein braver Neffe und schicke sie der Tante.
Die guten Kekse soll mein Schatz probier'n,
