To all those who, no matter what the house,
Give us a mighty round of applause
And give us a dream reception,
To all those who so often reward us with ovations
And enthusiasm
And who accompany us along the way,
To all those who have criticized us fairly and constructively
When things didn't go well
And who engaged with us,
And to everyone who has ever supported us,
No matter whether it benefited them,
To all those who simply appreciate us,
And then – not to forget – simply to all,
Who give us sold-out halls
And bring us the joy of singing,
To all these people we can only say: "Thank you very much!
Without you, we might not exist anymore."

But to all those who lied to us so extremely,
That the beams bent so much,

And to those who promised us all sorts of things,
Who immediately broke their promises
And led us astray,
To all those who love to gossip about us
Yesterday, today, tomorrow
And to block our paths,
To all those who copy us uninvited
And try it out all the time,
To steal our ideas,
