An opinion, it stands at attention,
It jams up in tramways and closes the road,
It peeps out of ancient dressing gowns,
In faded slippers on the feet of the old.
It shuffles into pubs each day,
Slid through a beer glass,
And it lets every scoffer
Whistle it down the drain.
Rags, tatters, testicles, the testicle wall is here,

Is pampered and cherished,
It is pulled out on Sunday walks
And stretched and strained.
It is written every day in red ink,

And it can quite easily,
