Marwan no entiende nada, solo tiene cuatro años, sabe que es islamita porque conoce la mezquita, pero no sabe si es kurdo o chiita, no entiende el por qué de tanta guerra y martirio, Marwan Al-hassan es solo un niño sirio, aún no sabe leer pero sabe que es un misil, sabe que es ser refujiado de una guerra civil, sabe que no ha vuelto a ver el mar Egeo, desde que huyó con su familia después de los bombardeos.
Marwan no entiende que es un rival ni un aliado, no comprende el significado de atentado, solo es un pequeño demacrado por la hambruna, persiguiendo un sueño mientras camina entre las dunas, victima de la pretensiones de los ladrones, no hay estrellas en el cielo, ahora solo hay drones, y occidente que les importa un carajo el corán, el islam y mucho menos Marwan.
Extraña a su familia, extraña su ciudad, no sabe quién es Obama ni va a echar al azar, no comprende porque algunos lo miran con asco, solo es un niño de la periferia de Damasco, uno más de otros tantos críos emigrantes, claro...
El petróleo es más importante, quién se deja los pozos al final ya da igual.
Marwan es solo daño colateral, musulmán asesino talibán, extremista de los altos del Corán.
Marwan no es más que un pobre chiquito inoscente en la desdicha de haber nacido en el Medio Oriente.

Ahí va Marwan agotado y moribundo, solo es un sobreviviente en cualquier lugar del mundo.

Marwan doesn't quite get it, he's only four years old, he knows he's a Muslim because he knows the mosque, but he doesn't know if he's Kurdish or Shiite, he doesn't understand why there's so much war and martyrdom, Marwan Al-hassan is just a Syrian boy, he doesn't know how to read yet but he knows what a missile is, he knows what it's like to be a refugee from a civil war, he knows that he hasn't seen the Aegean Sea again, since he fled with his family after the bombings.
Marwan doesn't understand that he's a rival or an ally, he doesn't understand what an attack means, he's just a small boy emaciated by hunger, chasing a dream while walking through the dunes, victim of the ambitions of thieves, there are no stars in the sky, now there's only drones, and the West that doesn't give a damn about the Quran, Islam and even less about Marwan.
He misses his family, he misses his city, he doesn't know who Obama is, nor will he take a random shot, he doesn't understand why some people look at him with disgust, he's just a boy from the outskirts of Damascus, one of many other immigrant children, of course...
