Je voudrais rendre hommage à ceux qui m′ont fait vivre

Les deux qui m'ont appris à vivre plus heureux
Par l′amour que l'on donne

Celle qui m′a dit un jour que son amour pour moi
Serait toujours le même
Toi qui redessinais les lignes de ma main
Pour y glisser la tienne

Celui qui m'enseignait dans ma propre musique
A trouver l′harmonie
Celle qui m'a porté par delà ses blessures

Au sommet de ma vie
Celui qui m'a fait croire aux plus fous de mes rêves
En y rêvant aussi
Ont éclairé ma route en apaisant mes doutes
Et m′ont rendu la vie

Et si j′ai pu franchir les murs de mon silence
C'est grâce à tous les gens qui m′ont ouvert le coeur
Et fait la courte échelle au sortir de l'enfance
Pour m′aider à grandir en force et en bonheur

Et c'est en remontant les douloureux méandres
En revoyant parfois le chemin parcouru
Que j′ai pu mesurer ce qu'il reste à apprendre
Effacer les tristesses et tout le temps perdu

I would like to pay tribute to those who made me live
By rekindling hope one day on the horizon
To dedicate my soul to each of them like a book
And offer them all a line in my way
He who opened to me the greatest of his wines
To drown my sorrow
He who cited to me the Indian philosophers
Whose soul was serene

He who without ever pronouncing the word God
Made me believe in men
The two who taught me to live more happily
By the love that one gives

She who told me one day that her love for me
Would always be the same
You who redrew the lines of my hand
To slip yours into it

He who taught me in my own music
To find harmony
She who carried me beyond her wounds

To the heights of my life
He who made me believe in my wildest dreams
By also dreaming of it
Have illuminated my path by appeasing my doubts
And have restored life to me

And if I have been able to break through the walls of my silence
It is because of all the people who opened my heart
And laid out the stepladder as I left childhood
To help me grow in strength and happiness
