Les Pierrots, les Colombines et même un Arlequin
Sont venus d'eux-mêmes et jouent pour rien

Un orage a prêté ses plus beaux éclairs
Pour illuminer la ville entière
Pour un bal sans égal dans la nuit des temps
Où sont invités les habitants

Si le temps nous accompagne comme il l'a promis
Nous verrons les clés du Paradis
Rapportées en taxi de la galaxie
À mille années lumières d'ici

Une aurore boréale, décor idéal
Pour une aquarelle originale
Jaillira du chapeau de Monsieur Loyal
Au moment le plus sentimental

Tous les anges et Lucifer, prévus au dessert
Apportent un gâteau d'anniversaire
Qu'on verra de la Terre comme une étincelle
Arriver de l'autre bout du ciel

Carnival sans rival, la réalité
Le hasard et la fatalité
Nous préparent dans le noir une éternité
Qu'il vaut mieux ne pas imaginer
