Now let me take up your Word and observe happily
And let me master your Word as I let your Word master me
Now I'm on the chapter and the verse where I'ma start
I'm reading with the eyes but help me listen with the heart, my God

So help me to grow devoted to prayer just like ought to do
Cause I don't wanna talk about you more than I talk to you

Nun lass mich Dein Wort aufnehmen und es freudig befolgen
Und lass mich Dein Wort meistern, während ich Dein Wort mich meistern lasse
Jetzt bin ich bei dem Kapitel und dem Vers, wo ich anfangen werde
Ich lese mit den Augen, aber hilf mir, mit dem Herzen zuzuhören, mein Gott
