Rukh e Mustafa (salla Llahu 'alayhi wa
Sallam) ko dekha to diyon ne jalna seekha
Yeh karam hai Mustafa ka shab e gham ne dhalna seekha

Yeh zameen ruki hui thi yeh falak thama hua tha
Chale jab mere Muhammad (salla Llahu
'Alayhi wa sallam) to jahan ne chalna seekha

Kis ne zarron ko uthaya aur sahra kar diya
Kis ne qatron ko milaya ayr darya kar diya
Kis ki hiqmat ne yateemon ko kiya durre yateem
Aur ghulamon ko zamane bhar ka maula kar diya
Admiat ka gahraz saama muhayya kar diya
Ik arab ne aadmi ka bol bala kar diya

Chale jab mere Muhammad to jahan ne chalna seekha

Bara khush naseeb hoon main, meri khush naseebi dekho
Barri kam seeni se main ne hai yeh naat parhna seekha

Apni bakhshish apni bhalai ka samaan nikala hai
Main to nabi ke gun gata hoon jab se hosh sambhala hai
Bachpan mein pehle din se nabi ka liya tha naam
Us din se aaj tak mere munh mein mithaas hai

Barri kamseeni se main ne hai yeh naat parhna seekha

Main raha khalish muzaffar dar e paak e mustafa par
Mere jazb e aashiqi ne kahan ghar badalna seekha

Aa ke baitha to na uththa woh teri mehfil se
Phir kahin yaar tera chahne wala na gaya

My dearest, when I beheld the countenance of Mustafa (salla Llahu 'alayhi wa
Sallam), even the lamps learned to gleam.
Such is the grace of Mustafa, that the night of sorrow has learned to wane.

This earth was once still, and the heavens were paused,
But when my Muhammad (salla Llahu
'Alayhi wa sallam) walked, the world learned to tread.

Who lifted up the dust and turned it into a desert?
Who brought together the droplets and made them a river?
Whose wisdom transformed orphans into precious pearls?
And made slaves the masters of the entire world?
He provided the means to uplift humanity.
An Arab brought forth the voice and power of man.

When my Muhammad walked, the world learned to tread.

How fortunate I am, behold my good fortune,
I have learned to recite this naat from a tender age.

You have shown me Your forgiveness and kindness.
I have sung the praises of the Prophet ever since I came to my senses.
From my childhood, I have taken the name of the Prophet,
And from that day to this, my mouth has been filled with sweetness.

I have learned to recite this naat from a tender age.

I have remained in ecstasy at the holy door of Mustafa,
Where has my passion for love learned to find a home?

Once I sit, I cannot rise from Your gathering,
For no one who loves You, my friend, has ever gone elsewhere.
