Al Humazah

بِسْمِ اللَّه الرَّحْمَن الرَّحِيم

وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ (١)

ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ (٢)

يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهۥ (٣)

كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ (٤)

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ (٥)

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ (٦)

ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ (٧)

إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةٞ (٨)

فِي عَمَدٖ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ (٩)

Al Humazah

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, backbiter! (1)

Who has gathered wealth and counted it, (2)

He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. (3)

No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. (4)

And what can make you know what is the Crusher? (5)

It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, (6)

Which mounts directed at the hearts. (7)

Indeed, it will be closed upon them, (8)
