AshShams

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا (1) وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَاهَا (2)
وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّاهَا (3) وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَاهَا (4)
وَالسَّمَاءِ وَمَا بَنَاهَا (5) وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَاهَا (6)
وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا (7) فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا (8)

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا (9) وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسَّاهَا (10)
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا (11) إِذِ انْبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا (12)
فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا (13)

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا (14)
وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَاهَا (15)

Ash-Shams

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By the sun and its brightness (1) And the moon when it follows it (2)
And the day when it reveals it (3) And the night when it covers it (4)
And the sky and He who built it (5) And the earth and He who spread it (6)
And a soul and He who perfected it (7) And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness (8)

He has certainly succeeded who purifies it (9) And he has certainly failed who corrupts it (10)
Thamud denied [their prophet] through their transgression (11) When the most wretched of them was sent forth (12)
So the Messenger of Allah said to them, "[Beware the penalty of Allah upon] the she-camel of Allah and her drink." (13)

But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin, and made it equal [upon all of them]. (14)
And He does not fear the consequence thereof. (15)
